• Expenses will be paid by the applicant and reimbursed by WOEA
• Applicants must complete and submit an expense voucher and report to assist WOEA in knowing the value of the event to the recipient and to WOEA.
• Applications will not be accepted past deadlines.
• If there are more applicants than scholarships, a waiting list will be maintained should there be cancellations.
• If a scholarship recipient does not use an awarded scholarship, that member will be excluded from consideration for future scholarships for a period of three (3) years.
• WOEA will notify local presidents regarding the scholarships WOEA awards to members of that local.

OEA Summer Leadership Conference Scholarship Guidelines:

• 21 Scholarships will be awarded.
• Priority Deadline: Monday before the May WOEA Board of Director's meeting.
• Final Deadline: Monday before the June WOEA Board of Director's meeting.
• 1st Priority: The seven (7) WOEA Area Representatives will be eligible to receive a scholarship in the first year of their election to the WOEA Board of Directors.  For 2008, all Area Representatives will be eligible to receive a scholarship.  To receive a scholarship, Area Representatives must make their requests by the May deadline. If an Area Representative is unable to use his/her scholarship, first priority will be given to those who request a scholarship from that area.
• 2nd Priority: Members who have never before attended the OEA Summer Leadership Conference.
• 3rd Priority: Date of Request (those requests received earlier receive higher priority.
